FAQ

You’ve asked so I answered!

Q: Where are you located?
A: I am in the Malvern building located at 2405 Westwood Ave Suite 201 in Richmond, VA.

Q: I’ve been watching your work for a while and I am ready to do my own session. What do I do?
A: Email ([email protected]) or call me (804.833.0888) to set up your phone consultation. These are done Monday-Thursday. I have day and evening appointments to meet your scheduling needs. We’ll chat for 20/30 minutes and at the end of the consultation we can set your session date.

Q: I have NO idea how to do my hair and makeup. Do you offer styling?
A: YES and hair and makeup styling is available and suggested for your boudoir session.

Q: What’s a “creative fee”?
A: Once upon a time creative fee’s were called sitting fee’s. The creative fee is due at the time you book your session and it serves as your retainer for the session date and time for you. It’s the fee for the session it’self and all images and products are sold separately from this fee.

Q: Do you supply the clothes?
A:  Most of my clients wear lingerie and since that isn’t something I’d reuse I don’t. I do help you style your session to meet the look and feel you want to achieve in your images via a style consultation. I do have lots of accessories to help supplement your wardrobe.

Q: How does the session work? What should I expect time wise?
A:  We start each session with the consultation. This is where you and I will discuss your vision for the session. We’ll talk about wardrobe and styling. This is done over the phone before your session. The day of your session plan to spend at least several hours with me. A 4 outfit session with makeup and hair styling will take several hours whereas a 2 outfit session with no makeup is completed within 2 hours.

Q: Times are tough and I really want one of your fabulous albums. Do you offer payment plans?
A: I sure do.  I am happy to offer payment plans on my top tier collections or when you spend $800 or more on products. I want you to walk away with the perfect package. No images will be processed until the final payment is received so please factor that into your scheduling. If you feel you’ll need a payment plan book 2 to 3 months before you’ll be able to make your final payment. 50% of the total is due at the ordering appointment with the remainder being billed in 2 or 3 additional payments.

Q: How long does it take to get my album/canvas etc. back?
A: Most of the products I offer are back to the studio within 3-4 weeks of your screening session. Peak season may require additional time. Peak is roughly August-November.

POLICIES:
You must be 18 or older to do a boudoir session with me.
Your creative fee is required at the time of booking to reserve your date and time and it is a non-refundable retainer.
Retainer Policy: A non-refundable minimum retainer otherwise known as the creative fee is due at the time of booking your session – This guarantees the time and date allotted for you. Should payment not be received in this time, I reserve the right to offer the date and time to another client. Upon receipt of the creative fee I will not book another client for that same date and time. For this reason, the Retainer Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. No requested date and time will be held for any reason without the receipt of the Creative Fee.

CANCELLATION: In the event that THE CLIENT cancels the photography services outlined in this contract less than 7 calendar days prior to the scheduled photo session date will result in forfeiture of the creative fee. A new creative fee will be required in order to reschedule a photo session that has been canceled with less than 7 calendar days notice. Cancellations made, by the client, with more than 7 calendar days prior to the scheduled date may be rescheduled, using the original retainer, within 30 days of the original date and must be completed within the same calendar year as the original date. To reschedule more than 30 calendar days from the original date or in a different calendar year will result in forfeiture of the original creative fee and require a new one to hold the new date.

Re-shoots: Re-shoots are at the discretion of the photographer and are not given for regretful personal choices such as hair, make-up or clothing choices.

Ordering session: We provide in studio viewings “Ordering Sessions” as a courtesy to our clients to help with the image and product selection. Orders must be completed and paid for at the ordering session. Sessions that are over 30 days old without an order having been placed are deleted entirely from the system
