Ginger,
Thank you again for everything, you truly made me look at myself in a whole new way and my husband is extremely happy too!
I still look at the book and can not believe it is me, he was amazed and still has not stopped talking about it. It was funny he was blown away he said he was proud of me for doing it and he had no idea what I was up to, then he wanted to know if a guy or girl took them LOL. I told him a girl and we had to become close friends fast, it was really easy because we are both moms and look at motherhood the same way!
All the best,
S
Reason #623 that I love my job.
Did you know that I work with “average”, “ordinary”, “soccer moms” everyday? These are the descriptions I hear all to often from my clients about themselves when they first come in to see me. You’d be surprised by how many of the lovely ladies gracing my site and blog claim to be “just ordinary”. I beg to differ with them on their assessment of themselves. I’m sure you do to. I, being a working mother of 4, can totally relate to this feeling of being so average it hurts though. It’s not easy keeping up with the day to day and still managing to somehow squeeze in time for yourself. Between working, drum lessons, dance, baseball and the multitude of parental errands I run daily I’m lucky to wear matching shoes never mind looking polished and put together everyday. I know all to well the trap we can fall in to by forgetting precious “me time”. We can get everyone, everywhere that they need to be but rarely do we mom’s truly take time out for ourselves.
I get so excited when I can spend the day with an “average” client and have her leave feeling so good about herself. Then I feel amazing too and I realize that what I’m doing really does make a difference in the lives of my clients. I love what I do and one of the reasons I love my job so much is because I get to spend my work day making other people feel good about themselves. I get to be there when a woman see’s her boudoir pictures for the first time and can’t believe that gorgeous woman is her. I get to show them a side of them that is always there, but sometimes tucked away underneath a life full of “to dos”. A boudoir session is about so much more than just getting sexy pictures of your self. It’s about reigniting the spark inside of you that makes you feel desirable, beautiful, sexy, and confident. It’s about having something tangible to look back on that recalls a time in your life where you were absolutely stunning. It’s about taking time out of the day to day to embrace being a woman.
So I’d like to take a second and thank my clients, past, present and future, for choosing me to be the photographer to help you dust off your hot self and get back to enjoying being a woman.
Thanks! You all make my job the best there is.
